Csirkeburger paradicsomszósszal – recept angolul

Chicken Burgers with Cherry Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

for the cherry tomato sauce:

– 30 ml olive oil
– 250 g small Roma cherry tomatoes
– salt and freshly ground black pepper
pinch of brown sugar
finely grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

for the chicken burgers:

chicken breast fillets
– 30 ml olive oil
– salt and freshly ground black pepper
– 2 onions, sliced
– 4 hamburger rolls, halved
– 100 ml chunky cottage cheese lettuce leaves

Preparation:

  1. Heat the olive oil and fry the tomatoes over very high heat until they burst. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  2. Mash the tomatoes with a potato masher or fork and stir in the Parmesan cheese (if using). Keep the sauce warm while you prepare the burgers.
  3. Put the chicken breasts on a clean work surface and beat gently with a meat mallet or the heel of your hand. (The flatter the fillets the faster they’ll cook.)
  4. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the fillets until golden brown and done. Season with salt and pepper to taste and remove from the heat.
  5. Fry the onions in the same pan over high heat and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread one half of each roll with a little cottage cheese and top with lettuce leaves, a chicken breast, fried onions, and cherry tomato sauce.
